My body of work is a collective self-portrait that uses symbolic imagery to reflect certain points in my college journey, while also deliberately using certain mediums, art-styles, and subject poses that help further those ideas. I believe that my four years at Columbia College have been the most influential period of personal development and growth that I have ever had. Certain events during this time pushed me to have a resilience and strength that I did not know I was capable of, and, even though they were very trying, they helped me develop into a stronger person. My body of work in this exhibition aims to subtly reflect those times of struggle, development, and personal growth that have built me into the resilient woman that I am today.
